The Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run distributor is the perfect upgrade for outdated points distributors or bulky HEI’s. All that is required is to install the distributor in the engine, connect three wires and the coil! A maintenance-free magnetic pickup accurately triggers this ignition. The increased output of the amplifier easily outperforms stock ignitions and will smooth out the engine’s idle, improve starting and provide a much higher rpm range.

MSD’s new Ready-to-Run Ford Distributors are the perfect upgrade for bulky DuraSpark systems or ancient breaker point models. These distributors come complete and ready-to-run. All you need to do is drop it in the engine, connect three wires and fire the engine. Each distributor features an ignition module that produces a powerful inductive spark to improve combustion of the fuel mixture resulting in quick starts, smooth idle and increased performance. The billet aluminum housings of these distributor are 5/8” smaller in diameter to accommodate exotic induction setups and tight engine compartments. A maintenance-free magnetic pickup is responsible for triggering the high voltage sparks while a sealed ball bearing guides an oversized shaft. For stability and endurance, an oversized steel shaft spins in a top mounted sealed ball bearing while an extra long sintered bushing guides the shaft at the base of the housing. This shaft also receives a QPQ coating for low friction wear and resistance against corrosion from humidity and ozone buildup. The Ready-to-Run features MSD’s adjustable mechanical advance which allows you to custom tailor an ignition curve to match your engine’s needs. There is also a vacuum advance canister to help improve economy. For positive street performance, the Readyto-Run is the best choice. NOTE: Supplied with a cap, rotor and vacuum advance.
